Trader Joe's Haul
One thing that I try to incorporate into my everyday life is eating healthy. Whether that be green smoothies, salads, vegetable dinners, and more, much of the food that goes into these meals comes from Trader Joe’s. Here’s a haul of some of the things that my family got after our most recent trip.
1. Cauliflower Gnocchi
This is a great substitute for pasta! It’s super easy to cook and when paired with your favorite pasta sauce, the cauliflower tastes just like regular gnocchi.
2. Dark Chocolate (and lots of it)
I am a huge lover of dark chocolate, and I eat it on a daily basis. Luckily, Trader Joe’s has an extensive supply of it. My two favorite treats are the dark chocolate bars with almonds and the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Both are so tasty that I have to stock up on them since I go through them pretty quickly.
3. Frozen Pineapple
Like I said, I love making smoothies and acai bowls at home. Having frozen pineapple to throw into the blender adds flavor through its sweetness while still maintaining the health benefits.
4. Sweet Potato Fries
I, like most people, love fries. I do not, however, love how unhealthy they are. These sweet potato fries from Trader Joe’s have the consistency of french fries, while obviously being a healthier substitute with great flavor.
5. Pecans and Cashews
A nut mix is a great thing to snack on during the day. It gives you plenty of energy and is a great way to satisfy your appetite.
6. Chai Tea Latte Mix
I am obsessed with chai tea lattes. However, since it is not the most convenient thing currently to buy one at my local cafes, I have resorted to making my own. This mix makes it so easy to recreate my favorite Chai Tea Latte from Thomas Sweet’s as it literally tastes the same.
7. Fruits and Veggies
Peppers and avocados are a staple in my house—we use them to make stir fry bowls, avocado toast, salads, and plenty of other meals. We also usually pick up bananas and use them for smoothies, as well as with peanut butter toast.
Another thing that I love eating is gyoza. Once again, since it’s not too simple to actually get these from restaurants nowadays, I love that I can still eat these from the comfort of my home.
9. Frozen Pizza Dough
Pizza is by far my favorite food—especially my Mom’s homemade pizza. I love that we can make it now using organic dough, making my favorite meal a cleaner one. It’s pre-made so it doesn’t take long to cook and it tastes as close to homemade dough as possible.
To be honest, we always find new exciting things to try every time we visit Trader Joe’s, so I’ll be sure to continue sharing new things I encounter!
