Hair Scarfs

Hey guys! Recently I have been seeing a ton of new trends online and so I decided to start trying them out. My favorite one so far has been hair scarfs, so I decided to order some and see how they look. I love the look of them because they are so dainty and simple but add so much to any outfit. I made a Tik Tok trying on all my favorite ways to wear them in your hair so watch that video, pick your favorite style, and read about how to recreate it below!

1. Mostly Covered

This one is the first one from the Tik Tok. It is mostly covering the top of your head and looks super trendy. Start by folding the scarf so that the corners are touching and it creates a big triangle. Then place the scarf on your head so that the tip of the triangle is in the back of your head and the straight edge is going across your forehead. Place it as far up or down your forehead as you desire. Once it is in the right place, take the two ends and pull them to the back of your head and tie them overtop the point of the triangle. Adjust it if necessary and that's it!

2. Behind the Ears

This is the second one from the Tik Tok and is my personal favorite. In order to do this one, start by putting your hair into a low ponytail. Take out a couple of pieces of hair from the front to frame your face. I take out all my baby hairs because I have a ton! Fold the hair scarf into a triangle again by folding one end to its opposite corner. Place the flat side of the triangle behind the pieces of hair you pulled out with the point of the triangle in the back of your head. Then, take the two ends and tie them together behind your head. Then you can take out the ponytail, shake out your hair, and adjust the scarf. I move mine back just enough so it holds down the ends of my ears. It looks super cute and simple and adds a lot to every outfit.

3. Headband

This one is the third one from the Tik Tok and is super cute and girly. To start, fold the scarf into a triangle shape. Then fold it over and over until it looks like a thick band. I Personally tie my hair in a low ponytail to make the tying easier, but this step is completely optional. Take the scarf and place the middle part underneath your hair. Then bring the ends up to the top of your head and tie them into a bow or just a knot, whichever you prefer. And that's all; a super simple and easy way to add a girly flair to any outfit.

4. Ponytail

This one is the last style shown in the Tik Tok. It is probably the easiest one to do out of all of these and makes a basic hairstyle much more fun. To start, put your hair up into a ponytail. Once the ponytail is to your liking, fold the hair scarf into a triangle and then fold it over and over until it looks like a thick band. Then, simply place the band around the ponytail and tie it into a knot. You can either place the tie on the top part of your ponytail or underneath, both look very similar. You can also use this simple technique on a bun or other updo- just tie it around wherever the ponytail is and you're done!

I hope this helps a lot of you out! The two hair scarfs I used are linked below and they are both really reasonably priced from Amazon. They come in a huge variety of patterns and colors as well. Pay attention to the sizing of them because you don't want them to be humongous. One of mine is smaller than the other, although they both work for every style listed above. Make sure to try some of these out and let us know which one is your favorite!
